The Crown Vic Cop Dragster came up on sale and after a quick decision with a friend on Facebook, I went and grab one. And as usual, I have a personal review of this brute of a V8 Interceptor.

This being heavy V8 sedan, I didn't put my expectations too high. But that being said, this car impresses me.

First off, once I junked the Drag kits, remodified it for street racing and giving it the Perfect Start skills, it really gets off the line fast for a car that doesn't have cosmic nos (the Grip Drag skills might have something to do with it).

Anyways, as far as racing go, the Crown Vic isn't half bad. I admit it doesn't have much for acceleration, but seeing as this does get the jump on most drivers at the start, it keeps the lead pretty much most of the race and even earns victories. Similar to how I race my other recently bought car, the BMW M3 GTS, which also has low acceleration.

And speaking of which, its handling does has a hand to its victories. It drives unlike other V8 sedans like say, the Chrysler 300C and the Charger SRT-8. It does have a slight numbness in the steering, but really, it turns where you want it to. It also has lots of grip, this in turn means I don't lose too much speed as I race on corners.

This Interceptor still has its heavyweight traits, and they make good work in Team Escapes. This could literally flip a Charger into a roll. It could even stop a Rhino dead if you're going fast enough.

As good as it is, it has its bad points. One main one is, as lots of people pointed out since its release, its a bit too... big. Its a contrast to the size of the in-game Ford GT40. Its bigger than it actually is in real life. It so large I'm more comfortable racing in far camera view.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed this cop car and its quite a rare breed for players to encounter nowadays, alongside the Challenger Concept and F-150 Raptor. Just another reason I bought one for myself. After seeing this in action, makes me wonder what its successor, the Taurus Interceptor might drive like in a possible future release.

I give it, 6 out of 10.

My dad used to own a 2001 Crown Vic and he thought it was terrible.
Primarily because driving it made him feel ten years older, but it was also a thirsty, ugly beast of a car that took up even more space in our garage than my mom's '03 Taurus Wagon. (Estate for you Brits out there).
It got totalled back in January when he got rear-ended by some lady in a Camry. The little Toyota was worse off than my dad's car, but since a trailer hitch he had attached caused damage to the frame, it was deemed a lost cause.
So now he's got a nice (and nearly new) Chevy Impala LT.
He's always wanted a Chevy since his favorite driver in NASCAR drives for a Chevrolet-backed team.
