Normally, I'm known(or at least by me) for playing just racing games. Whether its a racing sim or an arcade racer. Not really, I've already played some MMOs, RPGs, a few fighting games, a few shooters and an awesome MOBA game. Recently I've been playing a few different games during the last few days although one may not apply in this bunch cause' its still a racing game. Ah well...
1. Sonic Generations
I have to admit, I've never played a normal Sonic game that isn't a racer except the few times playing the first Sonic game, so SG was a new experience for me. Having the choice to play as either the classic side-scroller game style or the modern 2D/3D game style. But the selling point for me about this game was that it can be modded with different characters or levels, allowing me to play as either Shadow, Hyper Shadic or even Lucario or Hatsune Miku as well as playing levels either made from scratch or brought from other games. I love it.
2. Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing
The only racing game in this bunch. After being reminded of the times I played with All-Stars Racing Transformed when it was on Steam Free Weekend, I decided to play its predecessor and personally, I can see why some people prefer this over Transformed. The All-Star moves were unique, their vehicles were unique and it has its share of Sega characters. I still like Transformed. If anything, I like both games equally.
3. Ghostbusters: The Video Game
When Harold Ramis passed away, I really wanted to play this game in honor of him. When I got the chance, it just feels so right. If its considered a movie-based game, its the best movie-based game for me by far. It has bits of lag but it didn't really bother my experience of this roller-coaster ride as I bust some ghosts and solve the mysterious ghost outbreak with the OG Ghostbusters.
4. Sleeping Dogs
After playing lots of Saints Row 4 and Saints Row 3, I wanted something different from similar games that some people call "GTA clones". Initially, I was thinking about trying out Watch_Dogs but after looking at some reception and similar gameplay (except for the hacking), I decided to go for the other game with a similar title, the one where it takes place in Hong Kong and where you pull kung fu moves on Triads, parkour across alleys and instead of being a gang member, you basically play the role of an undercover cop with a small goal of revenge. Totally worth it.
